Virtual panoramic tours of cities and tourist destinations
Some day I’d like to visit all of these places, but in the meantime, it’s cheaper and easier to take a virtual tour. So sit back, grab your mouse, and hop on board for your own “wish you were here!” experience.
Other than the Croatia tour, the others are generally just 360-degree panoramic shots. The Croatia one is extra-special because you can move forward into the picture.
Please let me know if you find any other high-quality virtual tours. You can email me at .
International:
- 360 Cities. They’re not kidding. Click on a city and see a map. Click on a point on the map and see a picture you can navigate. The one of Paris includes the bridge where I got engaged, and the one of Los Angeles has 14 in Pasadena.
- Destination 360: Not as good as 360 Cities, as I kept linking to pages that didn’t have tours.
- FullScreen 360. Limited number of tours, but the pictures are huge.
Europe:
- Arounder.com has virtual tours of at least 32 major European cities, including Paris, London, Rome, Venice, etc.
- Croatia: Bjelovar. I’d never heard of this place, but the tour has amazing detail and even lets you walk around.
- France: Paris:
- Basilique du Sacre Coeur. This tour has amazing detail and a very large screen.
- L’hotel de ville. This one’s just a talking lady with a bunch of pictures, but it’s great French practice complete with subtitles.
- Great Britain:
- Ireland:
-
United States:
- Tennessee: Graceland. Small pictures, but detailed.
- Washington, D.C.:
White House
Kennedy Center
Colleges & Universities:
- eCampusTours. Several 360-degree tours of many campuses, free registration.
- California:
U.C. Riverside
U.C. Santa Cruz
